It’s an unspoken feeling—that I-can-take-on-the-world attitude we get when we’re having a good hair day. As for bad hair days, blow dry bars—which give guests a wash and blow dry—have remedied the issue once and for all. But a salon in Boca is adding another layer to the treatment, and it’s as good as gold.
Plush Blow Dry Bar is owned by best friends of 25 years and avid blow dry bar clients themselves, Debbie Henchel and Della Perel. They opened the salon in April to provide South Floridians an ultimate hair experience.
Plush Blow Dry Bar features crystal chandeliers, teal-and-white-accented walls and bedazzled blow dry stations. “I wanted a salon for chic women. I want the women who take pride in their hair,” Perel says. Guests can choose from a menu featuring blowouts like Plush City Girl for a sleek and smooth look, and Plush Curly Girl for loose waves. There’s an option for every type of hair—six specific styles to be exact.
But what’s most impressive are the fabulous blowout add-ons. The salon offers Plush 24-Karat Blow Dry, a signature $24 add-on featuring real 24-karat gold serum applied to wet hair. It’s followed with the application of gold glitter and a spray to enhance the shimmer. There’s also a Plush Diamond Dusting Blow Dry (a $35 add-on) and a Plush Pearl Deep Conditioning Treatment (a $35 add-on), complete with crushed pearl powder.
There’s a full-service makeup station, plus eyebrow tweezing, lash extensions and straightening treatments that don’t use harmful chemicals. Plush is also open seven days a week to accommodate all schedules.
