Upon entry, location is quickly forgotten again, as the inside is lit with warm hues, a fireplace and chandeliers lined with antlers.
Warmth extends beyond the ambience and joins each dish. To start, the wild mushroom cheese fondue arrives over a flame paired with a basket of artisanal bread. It’s best enjoyed with a glass of white wine that carries over to the next course—the Chalet Swiss Filet, stuffed with prosciutto and catupiry cheese, alongside potato rosti.
And you aren’t leaving without enjoying a fondue dessert. Choose dark, white or milk chocolate; or better yet, chocolate S’mores, chocolate peanut butter or Oreo cookies and crème, to coat strawberries, bananas, waffle crisps, brownies, marshmallows and pound cake.
For the full experience, diners have to stick around for some time, which is the goal, according to owner Ricky Marcellini.
“People are accustomed to going into a restaurant, eating and then leaving,” Marcellini says. “At our restaurant, we want guests to gather around the table, slow down and enjoy each other’s company. That’s the great part about fondue: it’s not rushed. Guests can bond over the experience and truly savor a delicious meal.”
